Project 037 involves renovating a home to create a comfortable living space where natural light, ample room, and practicality come together to redefine the essence of home life. The addition of a single-storey rear extension with bi-folding doors and box windows enhances spatial flow and aesthetic appeal. An L-shaped dormer will provide additional versatility, offering space for both relaxation and productivity.
Our design philosophy prioritises the role of natural light in creating a harmonious environment. In this project, we positioned bi-folding doors and box windows to maximize sunlight, filling the interiors with warmth and energy. The open-plan kitchen dining area becomes a welcoming space, bathed in soft, diffused light, perfect for cooking and socialising. The seamless connection between indoor and outdoor areas is facilitated by the expansive opening of the doors, blurring the lines between inside and out.

Additionally, the seated box windows not only add visual interest but also provide a cosy spot for relaxation or reflection. Residents can enjoy the sunlight while reading or simply unwinding.
The introduction of an L-shaped dormer optimizes space, creating room for a new bedroom and office area. This expansion enhances livability, adapting to the residents' changing needs.
Throughout the design process, we focused on ensuring each architectural element serves a purpose while maintaining elegance. From the sleek bi-folding doors
to the inviting box windows, every detail contributes to the overall aesthetic and enhances the resident's use of the property.
Project 037 harnesses natural light and spatial fluidity, we've created a sanctuary that goes beyond traditional living spaces, offering residents a place where beauty, functionality, and harmony intersect seamlessly.
